One thing I do love is The Master and The Doctors relationship in the Pertwee era, I think it was what RTD was going for (probably completely wrong on that one.)
You could tell that they respected each other, they had different ideas about the world and what was going on, the Doctor loved to learn the Master wanted to rule, they were chips off of the same block really. Their attitudes were very similar to people just the Doctor saw the good in people and the Master saw the usefulness of them as slaves.
It is an interesting dynamic really.
There are always rumours that the Master will be back but with Gallifrey now frozen instead of Time Locked and burning I wonder if the Master will be back sooner than later because I think Capaldi could pull off that kind of relationship again without it coming across the way it did in RTDs era.
Not only that but I feel Moffat would write it more like Sherlock/Moriarty which is what it was really. Both were on the same wave length but chose two different paths.
