It was a mess.
After so many positive reviews I thought we were in for something a little bit special just like Eleventh Hour was but this just didn't make any sense.
Moffat didn't just break the fourth wall he spent 90% of the episode on the other side of the wall poking us in the face and laughing.
There was no development from Capaldi being crazy to him being the Doctor. That isn't a slight on Capaldi who just did what the script told him.
There was no little moment like Fish Fingers and Custard, though I did like the ending and playing off the phone call and everything after that. THAT was when it felt like Moffat had stopped saying "look he's old and I'm going to make a issue out of it and bore you to death with the one reason why you shouldn't care".
There were like three or four different really well thought out stories in there all jammed into a messy episode.
I love the droids and it was a worthy sequel to them if you cut out everything else.
The dinosaur thing could have been a brilliant Doctor moment if only it wasn't really forgotten about less then half way through the episode.
In itself just people combusting all about Victorian London could have been interesting!
Instead we got what we got.
I just think all the preaching about "he is the Doctor" was pointless, people know that. Their personal like or dislike of Twelve is a personal thing that won't be taken away by Vastra preaching at Clara without ANYONE other then Eleven caring about how SHE feels. No she's a heartless bitch of course she is.
I don't like the premise of next weeks episode but we'll wait and see.
