I voted yes and I'll tell you why.
It isn't because he disobeyed team orders.
It isn't because I feel Mark was screwed by the team again.
It isn't even because I dislike Vettel (which is shaky to begin with).
It is purely down to the fact that Vettel likes team orders to go his way, he has had help from Webber to win his titles and this isn't the first time Mark has been told to turn his engine down and suddenly found himself under attack by Vettel. If you use team orders, if you gain from using them, you have no right to ignore them when they come to you.
Now Lewis is different because Lewis wasn't given a message that Nico would follow him, he was told to preserve his engine and Nico was told the same but from what we know Lewis was never told that Nico was doing the same and being told not to overtake him. If both had been left to fight who knows if Nico would have gotten past but it was the same for RBR, Lewis (Marks) engine was turned down from what I gathered Nicos (Vettels) wasn't. Of course when one car goes into engine saving mode they aren't going to be able to defend.
The thing is this whole mutil 21 code meant Vettel (no matter how he protests otherwise) knew that meant Mark was at a disadvantage and took that opportunity.
Isn't that what we want from our champions?
Probably, but I'd rather they be honest about what they are doing. The moment he realized he was the only one celebrating he went into defensive mode. We all know Alonso is a ******* on track, but he doesn't hide it, he doesn't "apologize" and make excuses he shrugs and gets on with life. He expects the team to be on his side sure, but then he (and usually the team other than McLaren, and that is a whole other kettle of fish anyway) never hides that fact. Vettel does, RBR want you to believe they have equality and Vettel wants people to think he's in some way "better" morally then someone like Alonso who uses second drivers and team orders.
It just seems a slap in the face of the guy who helps when you take his disadvantage to take the win he deserved (Vettel was on the radio asking to be let through during the race when they were on equal terms PROOF that on equal footing Webber was good enough for the win).
Yeah being ruthless is good but don't think about asking for help later in the season.
