It isn't like House. Basically it follows the title character Gabriel Monroe who is a brain surgeon. He isn't some emotionally challenged character or anything he is just a normal character going through a divorce and normal things. Actually I don't think I could tell you why its good. The characters are real and not over the top, the problems are interesting without being far out there, the way the characters get around the problems isn't stupid waffle and it explains it so you nearly understand it. OK some of the patients family members piss me off in the first episode the husband of the women really annoyed me as he walked out on her when he thought she couldn't remember his name even though the Doctors told him she could she just couldn't say it. The father of the kids in the second episode wanted to be the man and was a complete pain in the arse. The kid in the episode I'm watching is totally annoying her dad has epilepsy and a tumor and they need to operate but because his fits make him think he's talking to god or something (I can't remember I skipped most of this episode because she annoyed me) but she doesn't want him to have a life saving operation because it would make him normal. No one pointed out to the brat it would also mean he's a live... The second season isn't full of annoying relatives though, even though it is more realistic that they would be around . But I do love the characters most. The three good looking ones aren't just good looking they are great characters as well. James Nesbitt is brilliant........ Oh that would be another British actor in the Hobbit along with Benedict and Martin Freeman ;D xP .
