Anyone watching?
I thought the first part of episode one (which I'm still finishing watching as writing this) was so boring and slow. Didn't take to any characters or the way it was trying to play the "is this one a zombie? NOOOOOO" kind of thing.
The second half got better. As soon as Nick and Travis started to bond I started to enjoy their characters, his sister Alicia is a non-entity right now and there is something about Madison I don't really like.
When it finally DID start happening (and its finished now so there) there was kind of that knot in your stomach because you know the world and what it is like after all this.
Has potential. I know Rick has the first two episodes reviewed and ready to release on Sunday on the blog (so not sure why asking if anyone is watching because I know he is!) I'll give it a go. No stand out connection like you had in the Walking Dead, not quite as well directed and the story is much more difficult to get into. Guess that is half the problem, we know what is happening so impatient to see it happen. Especially as we're not going to get any new information as the guy in the whatever the hell that building was in Season 1 knew next to nothing about it and imparted the only thing he knew to Rick before he left so it isn't like we're going to have a break down on what is going on. The whole "showing the break out" will work for a little while but it'll slowly just become The Walking Dead (The Other Ones) which isn't too bad but as it seems to be filmed in a completely different style with completely different directing etc and looked like it had no connect to The Walking Dead I'm not sure if its going to have the same sticking power that The Walking Dead has.
So far none of the characters have the same charm as some of the original survivors.... Then again there is no Lori or Demon Child Carl so every cloud has a silver lining!
