I've seen it *Shifty look* it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... The characters were much better. There was no emphesis on the stupid "love" between Urhura and Spock, Spock was much more Spock like and the characters who were brilliant in the first film (everyone bar Urhura and Kirk) were even better this time out! Still unhappy Cumberbatch was Khan! He could have been so brilliant just being someone completely different, but no... Thing is I don't mind changing bits here and there that was the point but completely reconning a character. OK not completely but you know what I mean. Benedict could have been so much better as his own villain! It was no where near as Earth bound as it looked like! KLINGONS! Loved the Warp Drive CGI so classic looking . All in all so much better then I imagined but I'm still not certain. I watched the first one and was over thralled with it till it came out on DVD and I actually felt like I'd seen a different movie, every time since I dislike it a tiny bit more (I do find things I love still enjoyable else I wouldn't watch it!) I think this movie will help me like the first one more but by the time I own it on DVD who knows. I just can't like Chris Pine! William Shatner worked because he has that mischievous twinkle in the eye and you just wanted to laugh at him when he was being a dick! It was fun! You loved them. Pine is just stuck up and arrogant with no redeeming quality. Now I don't actually mean Pine himself who comes across as a lovely man I just mean his portrayal of Kirk which could be a few peoples fault! I still think Hemsworth would have been brilliant! Just look at him in Thor, his eyes were just perfect for the role.
