Thankfully in most places they've stopped now. There are still a few people who will come out with "Capaldi is too good for this" but there is a few more people now sitting there scratching their heads and asking since when did Peter Capaldi become a national treasure all of a sudden.
I still think Matt Smith was better then David Tennant and Peter Capaldi when it comes to acting. He had such a range and showed it. I think people sometimes got too hung up or angry over the parts they disliked to notice the moments that they were yearning for were right there in front of them. I'm not saying they were wrong for disliking him, they had every right, just as I have every right to so far dislike Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor, but when people bemoan "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" for being some dumb ass run around with no real story, drama or acting in it and then completely miss Solomon and him KILLING the Dinosaur to the Doctors subdued reaction to then Solomon threatening to RAPE the Queen... All those small moments, all those character pieces. Forgotten. Why? Because the Eleventh Doctor runs around a lot and rode on a dinosaur, he even named her and Rory's dad kept making funny jokes. Oh the horror ohhh the HORROR!!!
