As one of the company's unofficial weapon dealers, she secretly sells weapons in many countries while avoiding the local authorities and law enforcement agencies as most of her work is actually illegal under international law. Traveling with her is her team of bodyguards who are mostly composed of ex-military veterans. Her latest addition to her crew is Jonah, a seemingly emotionless child soldier who is skilled in combat yet ironically hates arms dealers. Jonah joins Koko as he wishes to find the arms dealer responsible for his family's death. What follows is Koko and her crew's escapades around the world

May 23, 2014 12:46:25 GMT Post by Anna on May 23, 2014 12:46:25 GMT I'm watching Happy Valley ONLY because I have to write the Joe Armstrong blog piece and I'd never heard of this but it has him and Steve Pemberton (how the **** DIDN'T I hear this?) in it. Anyone else seen it? Its currently in the middle/end of its run, got a lot of complaints apparently for the graphicness of it all. I'm 10 minutes in and no Joe Armstrong. Hate it waste of TV. Robin Hood had it right! They had him topless in the first 5 minutes of episode 2. They opened episode one with a close up of his pretty face!

Amongst a LOT of other things, he's been one of my favourite actors since I was a kid) and has been in Robin Hood, The Village and The Hollow Crown. No I didn't watch it just because it had him in it, I was looking on his IMDB page to figure out just what I've seen him in (which just so happens to be 90% of what he's been in) and clicked on the link to Happy Valley and realised it had Steve Pemberton in it too and THEN decided to watch it . Hey I've been a LoG girl my whole life! Yes it does have very graphic scenes in it but don't let that turn you off. Its on iPlayer, all the episodes so far are still on there. Last nights wasn't really that good. In fact I don't think its as good as some people have made it out to be but I do think its a brilliant piece of drama that proves that the BBC still has the capabilities of making good drama. This episode was a bit rushed though, it seems that now the only characters that mean anything are the cop and the psycho and the psycho was pretty much dead but still wandering around the place. They built up this kidnapping with Pemberton and Armstrongs characters to pretty much have them...... I don't know.... Forgotten about in the end. Last episode is next week!

May 31, 2014 22:30:43 GMT Post by Amanda on May 31, 2014 22:30:43 GMT To be fair on Anna Joe Armstrong is a great actor, whether he's attractive or not doesn't take away that he's a pleasure to watch on EVERYTHING he's in. I love him in The Village, I once heard apparently he was only ever meant to be in one episode but they loved his performance so much they added him to the rest of the series. I think he was the best part and there wasn't enough of him! I'd love to see him in more, I don't think he's been in nearly enough! He makes everything he's in, he was the only decent part of Robin Hood and his Hotspur was wonderful. He is so versatile that he could do a great number of things. I wouldn't want him to become a movie star, I'd just love to see him in a lot more drama on the BBC. I'm not really enjoying Happy Valley, don't see the big fuss about it. It isn't even anything to do with the violence I just don't think its particularly well thought out. It seems to jump and at one point seemed to care about characters in general but in the last episode or two has felt like they've stuck two fingers up to the rest of the cast and focused on Sarah Lancashire's character who honestly doesn't see the difference between her illegal breaking and entering and stalking of someone to letting off a rich guy for being on drugs.
