Hehehe I remember when the Canadian Qualifying was rained out and for some reason BBC1 decided it was a great idea to keep showing the rain, and I mean the rain, and keep Strictly back. At the time I was a fan of both (still like F1 just don't watch it) and thinking "well this isn't really fair on the celebs who will be dancing why can't it move to BBC2" which it finally did. The thing that got me that time around was first off it was only Quali and secondly it wasn't like they were going and talking to drivers, they just had DC talk about ducks and comment on how wet it was.
This is the thing whether or not you like everything on the BBC doesn't really matter, your license is one tiny bit of a whole. So if you like one thing (and lets face it unless you watch EVERYTHING on the BBC you can't say whether you like what is being made or not) then you can say you've funded something good. Of course it doesn't work like that and the BBC do much with and without your license. I just think about it like they've actually came to my house and asked what I want my money put on, and as I like the BBC I don't care if I'm "funding" it because they do a damn good job!
